The Sleeping Beauty and Ha-Ba-Gou Rock are both located on the eastern coast of Liao Island in Taitung County. It is said that they were formed by volcanic eruptions in early times, creating a natural geological landscape that stands out from the sea surface. The rock resembling a sleeping beauty is named Sleeping Beauty Rock; another spectacular rock protruding from the sea surface, resembling a pug lying on the water, is named Ha-Ba-Gou Rock. The area is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
