In the Tainan area, there is little rain throughout the year except during the plum rain season. Especially in winter, the Tainan area becomes an excellent area for salt production. Qigu Salt Field is a very large salt field in Taiwan’s history. At present, it has been transformed into a tourist salt field for leisure and tourism. Due to the increasing cost of salt production, Taiwan Salt Company has transformed the original salt fields and salt stacking yards into leisure and tourism uses. In addition to retaining salt industry relics and facilities, the original salt fields have gradually become salt field ecological areas. The salt stacking yards with a height of more than seven floors have been transformed into salt mountains for tourists to climb and experience the salt industry scenery at that time. At present, there are stairs and rope handrails for climbing the salt mountain, so that tourists can climb to the top to take photos as souvenirs. The experience of climbing up the steps made of salt is very special. However, some sections are rather steep and the height is also quite high. It will become slippery after rain, so be careful when climbing. In the Qigu Salt Mountain park, Taiwan Salt Company has developed “salty” popsicles using healthy low-sodium salt. The taste is extremely special. The park also has a number of recreational facilities, including soil and tile salt field experience areas, ATV rides, etc. for tourists to experience. Opening hours: Open from 9:00 to 18:00 all year round. Service facilities: Barrier-free services: barrier-free parking lot, barrier-free entrance.
