Qijiaochuan Creek, also known as Ji’an Creek, originates near Qijiaochuan Mountain and Chuying Mountain in Xiulin Township, with an altitude of 1357 meters. It is located between Meilun Creek and Mugua Creek. It flows through Ji’an Township and Hualien City, and then empties into the Pacific Ocean at Nanbin Park. Qijiaochuan Creek is a rare hydrophilic observation space for the residents of Ji’an Township. Walking slowly along the riverbank, the surrounding rural scenery is pleasant. At present, people have carried out bicycle activities along Qijiaochuan Creek. In order to enhance the diversity of residents’ leisure life, the Ji’an Township Office plans to make dedicated plans for bicycles in the future, so that bicycles, pedestrians, and motor vehicles all have appropriate driving and activity spaces. And through the planning of routes, characteristic scenic spots are connected in series to attract more tourists.
