The Qingshan Palace was established in 1854. It enshrines the King Ling’an Zunwang, also known as the Qingshan King. According to legend, when Huian fishermen invited the King Ling’an Zunwang. When the idol passed through the old street (now Xiyuan Road), it suddenly couldn’t be lifted. After divination and asking the gods, it was known that the King Ling’an Zunwang wanted to live locally. So believers built a temple on the old street. At that time, as long as people prayed to the King Ling’an Zunwang, they could be safe and healthy. Therefore, there were more and more believers. And they jointly raised funds to build a new temple, which is now the Qingshan Palace. There are also the idols of two generals, Xie Bian and Fan Wujiu, in the Qingshan Palace. It is said that at that time, at night, one could hear the iron chains held by the two generals ringing in the temple and on the road, or see them patrolling on the road. So there are few thieves nearby.
