Qixingtan is a long crescent-shaped coast. What makes Qixingtan known is its magnificent bay. It is quite suitable for watching the sunrise, enjoying the stars and admiring the moon. Not only is it loved by tourists, but also because it is close to Hualien City. Many people are used to taking a walk by the sea after work and enjoying the afterglow of summer and the beach atmosphere. In summer, as early as 5 o’clock in the morning, you can see the fiery red sun rising from the sea.

The sunrise in the east illuminates Qixingtan. The sparkling sea surface is full of light and hope. If you want to enjoy the stars at night, you should choose a night without moonlight. On a beach without light pollution, in addition to having a complete astronomy class, even the Milky Way will clearly appear in front of you. The Hualien two-lake bicycle path route is from Qixingtan to Liyutan. Starting from the ‘Deyan Coastal Botanical Garden’, it is the starting point of the bicycle path.

Entering the Qixingtan Scenic Area, you can travel along the beautiful crescent bay. This is the most beautiful part of the entire single lane. Going further south, you can climb up to the 48 Highlands and the environmental protection park through wooden ladders, and then enter the Hualien Port and Nanbin Park area. This section of the road is close to the Hualien Port. You often move forward side by side with cargo ships, just like a fierce competition between iron horses and giant ships, which is very interesting.

Must-see tips: 1. The beach of Qixingtan is not sandy, but composed of smaller pebbles. It is a bit uncomfortable to step on. It is recommended not to walk barefoot on the stones. 2. You can rent a bicycle at Hualien Railway Station. It is about 7 kilometers by bike to reach Qixingtan. You can also choose to rent one in the scenic area, or ask if the homestay provides bicycle borrowing services. 3.

When strolling or cycling on the beach, pay attention to rogue waves (suddenly rolled up fierce waves. It is very dangerous to be swept away). Do not go if there is a typhoon. 4. Due to the lack of shelters and strong sunlight, pay attention to sun protection and replenishing water. 5. Since it is a fault beach, the water depth will suddenly increase. Therefore, it is not suitable for playing in the sea.
