The Sakura Trail is located in Guofu Village, northwest of Hualien City. This trail climbs up along the Shapodang Mountain. It is nearly 4 kilometers in length. Along the Sakura Trail, there is a rich variety of plant species. Standing at a higher elevation, one can overlook the Pacific Ocean, Qixingtan, and the cityscape of Hualien City. The altitude at the higher part of the trail is about 495 meters. Open all year round and open 24 hours a day.
