Established in 1913 as ‘Shun An Kiln’, the name of the kiln has evolved over time to ‘Yuan Shun An Kiln’, and finally to ‘Sanhe Kiln’. It is currently managed by the fifth-generation successor, Li Junhong. The kiln itself is constructed using locally fired clay bricks, red bricks, and roof tiles, making it one of the oldest and most well-preserved kilns, classified as a third-grade historical site.

Li, originally a banker, gave up his career to take over the family business, driven by the desire to relieve his aging family members from the hard work at the kiln. A similar story can be found with Shih-Hung, the fifth-generation inheritor of his family’s kiln, known as Hsing Hua Kiln.
