The ‘Summit of the Pyramids: The Great Exhibition of Ancient Egyptian Civilization’ marks the fourth installment in the Shanghai Museum’s ‘Dialogue with the World’ series of cultural and artistic exhibitions. It grandly opened on July 18, 2024, at the People’s Square venue and was opened to the public on July 19. As the largest scale exhibition of ancient Egyptian artifacts to leave the country in history and one of the highest levels in Asia, the exhibition brings together 492 sets of 788 precious artifacts from different periods of ancient Egyptian civilization, with over 95% of the artifacts cooperating with the Egyptian government. The exhibition will last for 13 months, revealing the full face of ancient Egyptian civilization and its archaeological discoveries to the audience, promoting mutual learning between Chinese and Egyptian civilizations. The opening hours are from July 19 to August 17.
