Stepping into the Shanhua Hukuluo Painted Village feels like entering a fairy tale world.
Walking along the main road of the village, you’ll find the painted brick walls stretching approximately 500 meters long. The first sight that catches your eye is a black bear pattern, set against a black wall with nearly a dozen cartoon figures painted on top.
Moving forward, you’ll encounter a vast area of red animal paper-cut designs. On the red and white walls, you’ll see paper-cut animals of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, including dogs and oxen.
Continuing your stroll, you’ll come across a giant Totoro image, and at the corner opposite, you’ll find characters like Snoopy and penguins.
The village is open all year round and accessible 24/7.
