The Eighteen Turns Waterway Ancient Trail (Eighteen Turns Waterway Trail), also known as Dongsheng Trail and ‘Top Waterway Trail’, is located in Quanyuanli, Beitou District, Taipei City. In the past, residents independently funded the excavation of two waterways, namely ‘Eighteen Portions Waterway’ and ‘Eighteen Turns Waterway’, to irrigate farmland by diverting the water of Dakeng Creek (now known as ‘Nanshuang Creek’). Both have a history of over a hundred years. Strolling along the gentle waterway trail, overlooking the green mountains in the distance and listening to the flowing water adds a lot of charm to activities. Open all year round and open all day.
