Shihding Ciandao Lake is located in Yong’anli, Shiding District. It belongs to the upstream of Feicui Reservoir. When the reservoir was built in those years, the surrounding villages were relocated. Some of the mountainous areas in Yong’anli became catchment areas, forming large and small lakes. The scenery is like Qiandao Lake in Zhejiang Province, hence the name. In the early days, Shiding Township was the main area of coal mines and also the main production area of Taiwan’s famous Oriental Beauty Tea.
As soon as you enter Shiding, patches of tea fields come into view. The terraced fields are magnificent and boundless, forming a beautiful picture. The area around Shihding Ciandao Lake is full of green mountains and clear waters, with lush trees.
