Shizaitou Fulong Palace is located in Beiqu District, Tainan City. It mainly enshrines Baosheng Dadi. It is said that the original name of this temple was ‘Fulongjing’ and it enshrined the God of Land and Grain. Later, after the Dadaogong of Shitoukeng was enshrined, it was changed into a temple for Baosheng Dadi. Regarding the origin of Shizaitou Fulong Palace, it is said that the temple was built in the period of the Kingdom of Tungning. After immigrants from Baijiao, Fujian brought Baosheng Dadi to Taiwan from their hometown, a temple was built as Shizaitou gradually prospered. Later, due to the prosperous incense, the temple is also known as ‘Shizaitou Temple’. Another theory is that Shizaitou Fulong Palace was originally a land temple, formerly known as ‘Fulongjing’ and also known as ‘Shizaitou Temple’. It was built in 1802, the seventh year of Jiaqing.
