The Sun Moon Lake Cable Car is a cable car system in Yuchi Township, Nantou County, Taiwan. The entire line is invested and constructed by Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village in the BOO (Build-Operate-Own) mode. It is a public cable car system in operation. The route is from in front of the Sun Moon Lake Youth Activity Center of the China Youth Corps to the Guanshan Tower of Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village.
During the cable car ride, you can overlook the famous scenery of Sun Moon Lake and the Puli Basin. The total length of the Sun Moon Lake Cable Car is about 1877.15 meters. It crosses Mount Buji at an altitude of 1044 meters. The round-trip journey takes about 16 minutes, allowing you to easily enjoy Sun Moon Lake. You can overlook the 360-degree lake and mountain scenery of Sun Moon Lake. If there is sufficient moisture, there is also a chance to see the misty and dreamy wonderland-like scenery. It is guaranteed to let you enjoy the beautiful scenery and take it all in. It is an unmissable tourist way when visiting Sun Moon Lake.The opening hours are from Monday to Friday all year round, 10:30 – 16:00; on Saturdays and Sundays all year round, 10:00 – 16:30. The parking lot opening hours are from 09:00 to 18:00. In principle, the first Wednesday of each month is the cable car’s shutdown maintenance day.
Preferential policies: For the elderly and children: those over 65 years old and those with disability manuals, pregnant women, and children under 6 years old and over 100 centimeters in height, 250 NT. Infants: those under 3 years old or less than 100 centimeters in height are free. Accompanied by an adult with a ticket, it is free.
