The Takao Railway Story House was formerly known as the Takao Parking Lot, which was the Japanese Meiji-era term for a train station. The house retains the appearance of the old station and features the first-ever Railway Information Room, displaying Railway Bulletins from 1951 to the present, as well as railway books and materials provided by the Railway Cultural Association and researchers. The layout, tables, and chairs all reflect the scene of station staff at work in the past. Inside the glass cabinets, there are hats and uniforms of railway workers, which are free for visitors to wear for photos. Opening hours are all year round, Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 18:00. Accessibility services: Accessible entrance, accessible restrooms.
