The Dagang Bao’an Temple in Kaohsiung City was founded in 1937. In 1959, it was reorganized and established as a legal person of a consortium and registered to organize the board of directors and supervisors. It was resolved to build a new Dagang Bao’an Temple. Construction started in June 1962. In March 1965, the main hall project was completed first. On March 12th of the lunar calendar of the same year, the golden statues of Baosheng Dadi and various gods were invited into the temple for installation. The remaining projects were completed in 1968. In June 2003, the seventh session of the board of directors and supervisors resolved to expand the side halls on the east and west sides. In September 2012, the Yue Lao Hall was completed and the soil was thanked and the statues were installed. Opening hours: Open all year round from 5:00 to 22:00.
