The Tainan City Historical Site Museum is located on Park Road in the East District of Tainan City, and was established in 1943. The museum features a Tang-style wooden structure with a strong Japanese influence, as it was originally the fasting pavilion and administrative office of the Tainan Shrine. The pavilion served as a place for purification and preparation before visiting the shrine for worship, while the administrative office managed the shrine’s daily affairs. The museum is open all year round from Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
