The Tainan Governor’s Residence faces west. There are arcades in the front and back. The middle and both sides protrude in an octagonal shape. The brick materials of the arcade and arch columns are exposed, alternating between red and white with other parts painted in grayish white. The original curved gable wall above the entrance of the building was later renovated into a triangular gable wall.
