Taipei’s night markets are renowned places to experience Taiwanese culture and cuisine. Each night market has its unique charm and characteristics. The relatively well-known Shilin Night Market is mainly divided into two parts. One part is the commercial street centered around Yangming Theater and Cih-Cheng Temple, with boutiques, clothing stores, shoe stores, and sporting goods stores. The other part is the night market food street, gathering various delicious snacks from all over the country. It is bustling and very lively.
There is also the Ningxia Night Market. The night market is about 400 meters long and fully showcases the old-fashioned flavor of Dadaocheng. Different from other night markets, the snack stalls in Ningxia Night Market are concentrated in the middle of the road. The snacks are mainly traditional Taiwanese特色 snacks.
At the Raohe Street Night Market, on weekends and holidays, there is a surging crowd, and many are tourists who come here especially for its reputation. The Fuzhou Shizu pepper buns here are very famous, and diners often have to wait in line for more than fifteen minutes. If time permits, foodies must come to Taiwan to taste various delicious night market snacks.
