Contemporary One Gallery will host the ‘Stage’ joint exhibition starting from November 1st, featuring artists Li Jixiang, Zheng Nongxuan, and Yang Jiarong. The exhibition, themed around ‘Stage’, delves into its dual nature as a medium of observation: on one hand, the stage creates a sense of disconnection from reality, immersing the audience in the performance; on the other hand, it mirrors reality, offering opportunities for connection and empathy with everyday life through various symbols and narratives. This space between reality and imagination inspires boundless contemplation and interpretation, much like the creations of the three artists. Through their individual works, they have constructed a ‘third space’ between the viewer and the artwork, transcending traditional viewing patterns and emphasizing the viewer’s agency and participation in the interpretation and understanding of the works. The exhibition will be open from November 1st to December 14th, with performance times and durations subject to the discretion of the venue.
