Taipei Water Source Area

The exterior of the Museum of Drinking Water is designed in imitation of Western Baroque architecture. It has an elegant and retro appearance and is specially designed for functional purposes to meet the pumping needs. The museum displays the development process of modern tap water in Taiwan, presenting the historical evolution of predecessors’ development of water resources. Antique pumping equipment, various inspection and maintenance equipment, and fire-fighting equipment are all very precious historical witnesses.

Visitors can also experience the water treatment process on site, including modern chemical dosing and disinfection and strict quality monitoring, which makes people truly realize the hard-won nature of water resources. In addition, the tap water park is also planned with different theme areas. The Mist Garden provides a space for tourists to observe, get close to, and play with water. The garden landscaping, water town garden, and pipe sculpture area can be used for rest and enjoyment.

The water transmission and distribution equipment area and the Gongguan water purification plant present the actual water supply procedures. On Guanyin Mountain in Gongguan, a complete mountain trail is established, allowing tourists to take leisure walks and get close to nature.
