The Taichung Folklore Park is located at Section 2, Lushun Road, Taichung City, and is the first folk park in the country, covering an area of 1.6 hectares. Characterized by traditional Southern Fujian architecture from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China, it is designed in the style of Suzhou gardens, exuding an ancient charm.
The park is divided into two parts: the Folklore Museum and the Folklore Skills Square. The Folklore Museum is a quadrangle with pavilions, towers, small bridges, and flowing water, showcasing the beauty of Chinese architecture, with sixteen exhibition rooms displaying folk artifacts.
The Folklore Skills Square features artisans performing traditional skills such as bamboo weaving and dough modeling, as well as various performances, making it a great place to visit on weekends. It is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00-17:00.
