This scenic spot once boasted vast beaches, but now only pebbles and wave-breaking blocks remain along the southern seawall. The lighthouse itself has been relocated three times, a testament to the historical retreat of the coastline. Standing at 32.7 meters tall, it was originally established in Wangzailiao Bay but was moved to Dingtoue Bay in 1959 due to coastal topography changes and typhoon damage. Its iron-tower-like appearance stands guard near the westernmost point of the local island, Jiaocaitou, protecting fishermen who venture out to sea. The lighthouse is open all year round and accessible 24 hours a day.
