The Taiyuan 500 Martyrs Memorial Architecture Complex was completed and handed over to local management on February 19, 1951. After the reorganization of Taipei City, it has been managed by the Taipei Civil Affairs Bureau since 188. The memorial monument, memorial hall, and soul-calling mound are built along an axis following the mountain’s natural slope, with a high standard of architectural design, including the archway, monument, memorial hall, soul-calling mound, and stele. This group of memorial buildings is a product of the civil war and also witnesses the modern history of both sides of the strait and the changes in local historical education. Open all year round, accessible 24/7.
