In 2024, Taoyuan Halloween City ‘Trickster Academy’ is recruiting. You can’t miss out on trick-or-treating on Halloween! It’s time to awaken the naughty nature. The 5th ‘Taoyuan Halloween City’ will open grandly on October 26 at Taoyuan Arts Plaza and Arts Greenway. The nine-day Halloween series of activities features cute and terrifying college-style installation art, connecting the entire Greenway. It brings four colleges and the trickster school bus. Coupled with the Taoyuan City Library Main Branch known as the most beautiful library in Taiwan, and the newly opened ‘Taoyuan GELEVEN PLAZA’, there will also be coordinated decorations on the exterior wall of the main branch to upgrade the Halloween atmosphere. Targeting families and young people, a series of activities are launched, including street parades, opening concerts, costume competitions, electronic music parties, public welfare lottery activities, parent-child interactions, and series of theme nights. With large installation works, wonderful stage performances, themed markets, and creating a Halloween atmosphere, there are different surprises every day. The event venue will turn into the Trickster Academy. The public is invited to enter in costumes and board the ‘Trickster School Bus’ to go trick-or-treating together. Explore each themed college with the four trickster class monitors, namely ‘The Pretending College’, ‘The Prank College’, ‘The Mischief College’, ‘The Talking Nonsense College’, and ‘The Halloween Elementary School’. There are also hidden installation artworks on site to help everyone fully upgrade their trickster skills and become a new generation of trickster masters!
