The Tianjing Gorge Crevice scenic area is located in Youyi Village, Xinglong Town, 70 kilometers away from Fengjie County. It was discovered by British cave explorers in August 1994. The crevice is 37 kilometers long and is in the shape of a ‘V’ with an opening in the northeast. The upstream has an open terrain and lush forests, with a width of 100 to 500 meters. The middle section has alternating widths and becomes narrower as it goes down, with a width of 3 to 5 meters. The lower section is unfathomable and has not been explored yet. Inside the valley, there are strange rocks, steep mountains, shuttling waterfalls, and surging underground rivers. It has the rare ‘narrow strip of sky’ crevice canyon wonder in the world. The narrowest point is only 0.6 meters, and the deepest point is 900 meters. There are also scenic spots such as ‘Black Eye’, ‘Elephant Mountain’, ‘Stone Guanyin’, ‘Male and Female Frogs’, and ‘General Rock’. Being in it is like being in a paradise.
