Volcano Biyun Temple, originally known as Volcano Temple, is situated on the hillside of Guanzikuling Volcano in Xiancaoli, Baihe Town, Tainan County, Taiwan, with the beautiful Pillow Mountain as its backdrop, exuding an elegant and majestic atmosphere. The temple was first established during the Jiaqing era of the Qing Dynasty by the founding patriarch, Shi Yingyang, and has a history of over 200 years. It has undergone several renovations, notably the completion of the Mahavira Hall and the Longevity Hall in 1974, which has made the temple’s appearance grand and spectacular, with a significant scale, and it has become a well-known local landmark. The temple is open all year round from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
