Wind-Eroded Sand, a unique topographical landscape, is situated at the midpoint of the Pingjia Highway, approximately 5 kilometers from Eluanbi and stretches about 500 meters. This distinctive feature is formed by the combination of aeolian and fluvial processes, resulting in special terrains known as 沙河 and 沙瀑. However, the construction of the Gaoping Highway has disrupted the natural flow of sand, making the spectacle of Wind-Eroded Sand a rare occurrence today.
Despite this, the area remains a popular destination, offering an expansive view that makes it an excellent spot for sea viewing. The site is open all year round and accessible 24/7. Visitors are advised to exercise caution during heavy rains due to the terrain’s composition of loess and sand, which can become slippery.
