Shourang Hall in Wugu is the ancestral home of the local Wu Yu family and also a historical building.
In 1916, to celebrate the 70th birthday of Wu Yu, who had served as the head of Guiziping District, his descendants pooled together 30,000 yuan and used the steamship of their family business ‘Hefeng Trading Company’ to transport a large amount of building materials from other places, such as porcelain and stone, to construct a traditional Minnan-style Sanheyuan at the intersection of Chengtai Road and Denglin Road in Wugu District. This is the ‘Lower House’ of the Wu family, known as ‘Shourang Hall’.
It is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday, 09:00-17:00.
