Kenmeng Manor, nestled in the Hualien countryside, is a romantic getaway destination in the heart of Hualien’s Eastern Rift Valley. It boasts the expansive Xinguang Zhaofeng Leisure Farm, one of the largest leisure farms in Taiwan, covering an area of 726 hectares.
With its lush green forests, the farm features diverse areas such as European gardens, bird parks, a charming zoo, a deer park, a dairy cow area, and a bamboo garden, where visitors can enjoy a leisurely ride on a sightseeing train or rent electric vehicles for touring.

Located near the Happy Tai 9 Line at kilometer 217, it’s easily accessible from Taipei by taking the自强号 EMU3000 train, which takes just over 2 hours to reach Lin Rong Xinguang Station. Self-driving is also very convenient.

The lakeside area features a waterfall landscape, with a variety of trees including bald cypress, creating a popular spot for tourists to take photos. The white Lover’s Bridge over the lake offers a panoramic view of the majestic Central Mountain Range, with clouds swirling around the mountain slopes, forming a captivating landscape painting. The surrounding trees and natural ecology attract many migratory birds and wild ducks, making it an excellent spot for birdwatching.

The European-style garden is the first scenic spot visitors encounter upon entering the farm. Besides the seasonal flower arrangements, the sculptures on both sides represent two series: pioneers and indigenous people. The pioneer series symbolizes the early days of farm development, representing various agricultural eras from clearing land for sugarcane, sheep, and cattle to the current landscape garden, with different representative sculptures for each period. The indigenous series showcases different indigenous attire.

The statue of Yu Gong in the central pool symbolizes the spirit of overcoming difficulties and unwavering determination. Yu Gong, an ancient figure, was determined to remove two mountains blocking his family’s way, embodying the spirit that Xinguang Zhaofeng Farm upholds as it continues to develop and innovate.

Zonggu Story Hall, located on the third floor of the visitor center, showcases the 50-year history of Xinguang Zhaofeng Leisure Farm, which spans 726 hectares and was developed through the hard work and spirit of many predecessors, akin to Yu Gong’s mountain-moving determination. The hall presents many touching stories in an accessible manner, allowing visitors to understand the farm’s development and future plans, as well as surrounding attractions and indigenous culture.

The vast grasslands feature a sculpture of a buffalo named ‘Buffalo Returning Home’ on the grassy hills, making it a popular venue for large-scale events at the farm. Dear guests can wear prepared straw hats and take a few fun photos as if they were herding cattle, or remove their shoes to enjoy the fresh grass of nature.

The popular Zhaofeng Zoo is home to many adorable animals waiting for your hugs and feeding. [Back Garden] In March and April every year, the kapok road is a fiery and beautiful scenic spot of Zhaofeng Farm. You can bring your whole family here at this time to feel the beautiful holiday of blooming flowers on the kapok road. On the left side of the kapok road is the back garden of Zhaofeng. There are many lovely deer, lambs and cute animals in captivity. The garden also plants many beautiful Cassia fistula trees. A white piano is waiting for you to check in. [Terminalia neotaliala (Green Tunnel)] Zhaofeng Farm plants tens of thousands of trees. Zhaofeng Farm is also known as the tree bank. In addition to planting many trees, there are also several characteristic tree-lined avenues and green corridors. As we can see, our Bischofia javanica avenue is shaded by green trees. Or the nearby Terminalia neotaliala forest. In spring, the tender buds are all sprouting, full of vitality. [Zhaofeng Pasture] Here are many Dutch dairy cows and Taiwan Wagyu of Uncle Hui. Everyone can get off here and visit the breeding story of dairy cows. There are also many of our fresh milk products, such as Zhaofeng’s signature fresh milk ice cream, soft serve ice cream, cheese and organic honey. They are all our characteristic products. Have a cup of coffee and look at the dairy cows grazing on the vast grassland at the same time, giving you a refreshing holiday.
