Ciyou Temple, also known as Xinzhu Mazu Temple, was established in the 25th year of the Kangxi Emperor’s reign (1686 AD) and has undergone multiple renovations since its inception. The main deity worshipped in the temple’s main hall is the Heavenly Mother, along with other deities such as the Lord of Jialan, the Patriarch of Bodhidharma, the Buddha of Compassion, and the Lady of驻生. Xinzhu Mazu Temple is a structure with three bays, four progressions, and two corridors, featuring highly skilled wood carvings, stone carvings, and paper-cut decorations. It also preserves valuable cultural relics such as ancient plaques, stone tablets, and wooden couplets from the Qianlong and Jiaqing periods. It is a temple with a long history and is highly respected. Opening hours are Wednesday from 6:00 to 21:00; Monday to Tuesday, Thursday to Sunday from 6:00 to 22:00.
