Yanliao Fishing Port was originally a traditional small fishing village where people made a living by catching lobsters. There used to be a large stretch of beach along the Yanliao coast. However, since the construction of the fishing port and the completion of the north embankment and outer breakwater of the first-phase project, serious erosion occurred inside the port, and the beach disappeared, leaving only wave dissipating blocks and gravel. After the completion of the second-phase improvement project, this time there is serious siltation. The port has become a beach for tourists to play in. One can observe the endless progression of waves and also see the scene of fishermen setting out to sea on rubber rafts and breaking through the waves.
