Sanqing Palace is located at the foot of the mountains in Meihua Lake Scenic Area, Dongshan Township, Yilan County. This temple, which was built in 1971, is dedicated to the three supreme deities of Taoism, known as Sanqing. The main structures of the temple include: the Sanqing Holy Land Archway, the Nine Dragon Wall, the Cultural Building, the Corridor, the Mountain Gate, the Yuanming Hall, the Miluo Hall, the Sanqing Hall, the Miaoluo Hall, and the Carp Leaping Over the Dragon Gate Pond.
The architectural design of Sanqing Palace is primarily based on the colorful Northern Chinese palace style, mainly dedicated to the Taoist ancestor Sanqing. Following the instructions of the main deity, the temple does not burn joss paper, and the offerings consist mainly of incense, fresh flowers, and fruits, which are very environmentally friendly. The temple is open all year round from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
