The Yilan Settled Government Memorial Hall is a Sino-Western style building that was originally constructed in 1906. It served as the residence and reception area for successive administrative leaders. After the restoration, the building was taken over by the National Government and established as a memorial hall.
The exhibition of cultural relics and historical materials in the memorial hall primarily showcases the historical and cultural evolution of Yilan County from the Qing Dynasty’s Gamalan Hall era, through the Yilan Hall era, to the present day.
In front of the hall, there is a forest of old trees, among which a century-old camphor tree stands as a vivid witness to history. The hall is open all year round, Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:00 to 17:00.
