Jishun Temple in Shenkeng was established in the 18th year of the Daoguang Emperor’s reign (AD 1838). The temple primarily worships Baoyi Doctor and Baoyi Duke, who were civil and military officials during the Tang Dynasty, and also enshrines the God of Fortune, Guan Sheng Dijun, and six statues of Mazu brought from other temples for incense sharing. The temple holds a Spring Prayer Ritual from the first to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, which is a significant event for the local community.

Shenkeng Old Street in front of Jishun Temple is home to many distinctive local snacks and delicacies, among which Shenkeng tofu is particularly famous. Made with traditional techniques, it is delicious whether braised or grilled. The temple is open to the public from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM all year round.
