Chan Guang Temple is located in Xiulin Township, Hualien County, and belongs to the Linji Sect of Buddhism. It was founded by the nun Shi Xingxing in 1963 on the fourth day of the fourth lunar month, and was completed on the fourth day of the second lunar month in 1966. The temple is open to visitors from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM all year round.
