The Hsinchu Prefecture Office features a two-story building with a blend of Japanese and Western architectural styles. The main structure follows Western design, while the roof is constructed with wooden framework and tile, a common feature in Eastern architecture. The front entrance is highlighted by a protruding porch with a double-column design to enhance its ceremonial aspect, complemented by two small towers, making the entire entrance quite prominent. Upon entering the hall, one can observe Western-style arcades and Roman columns, which contribute to its simple yet elegant ambiance.
The office is open all year round from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
