Liyutan Reservoir is located in Sanyi Township, Miaoli County, upstream of a small stream where the water flow is gentle, forming a creek pool known as ‘Liyutan’. The pool is deep and broad with clear, jade-green waters. Scattered around the pool are various sizes of rocks, with some flat sandy areas in between, surrounded by very beautiful scenery.
To enhance the tourist experience, scenic trails and viewing platforms have been set up around the reservoir. There are also numerous cafes nearby, allowing visitors to enjoy coffee while admiring the lake and mountain views of the reservoir.
