Taiyang Pond is located in Yuanshan Township, Yilan County. It was formerly known as ‘Xiexian Pond’ due to its shape resembling a crab’s claw, but later renamed ‘Taiyang Pond’ by the water conservancy association. It is open all year round and accessible at any time of the day.
