The Tianjin Science and Technology Museum is located on Longchang Road, Hexi District. Whether viewed from a bird’s-eye view or from a distance, the exterior of the Tianjin Science and Technology Museum resembles a bridge. It symbolizes that science and technology is a bridge connecting the present and the future. The three-quarters spherical planetarium of the ‘bridge’ is like a rising sun. The museum covers an area of nearly 20,000 square meters.
The museum is composed of exhibition halls, multi-functional planetariums, lecture halls, training classrooms, etc. It is a modern comprehensive exhibition hall. The exhibition hall is the main part of the museum. The exhibition hall has two floors, upper and lower, with more than 300 exhibits (sets). The exhibits in the museum integrate science, knowledge, participation and art. With the help of modern display means such as sound, light, electricity and computers, scientific and technological knowledge is vividly popularized to the public. In the process of directly participating in operating the exhibits, visitors personally experience the fun brought by science and technology through sensory systems such as vision, hearing and touch. The spherical building planetarium (also known as the cosmic theater) of the science and technology museum is equipped with an inclined aluminum sky curtain and planetarium, a 360-degree full-sky dome film projection system and various projection equipment. Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 16:30 on Wednesday to Sunday throughout the year; closed all day on Monday and Tuesday throughout the year. Must-see tips: Admission notice: 1. On the day of visit, enter the museum for visit with the valid certificate used for reservation. One person, one certificate. Complete identity verification on site through the handheld ticket inspection terminal. 2. For audiences who make reservations with certificates other than ID cards (such as passports, student ID cards, household registration books, etc.), after the staff checks the relevant certificate information, scan the ticket inspection QR code in the order to enter the museum. 3.
